Motivation Monday
Good morning family! I hope today's message finds you in good spirits. Today's motivational "nugget" was inspired by the notion that we have to play it safe before we can put ourselves in the position to create the freedom to truly live our ideal lives.
Now I don't want to scare you, but if you really think about it, how long have you been "working on it"? How much time has passed? How long before your "safe" plan puts you in the position to do what you REALLY want to do? Most importantly, will you you even physically be able to enjoy it when it's all said and done?
I think we have all been conditioned!! Conditioned to confuse what we think is "safe" when it is actually "dangerous" because the expense is our youth!
"The most dangerous risk of all is spending your life NOT doing what you want to do on the bet that you can buy yourself the freedom to do it later" - lifehack

Bill O'Reilly's "failed" response to Michelle Obama's DNC Speech
This is why I feel the Internet is a great thing! It provides an avenue for radio personalities like me to promote positivity and unity responsibly. At the same time being able to have the HARD discussions with respect, regardless of whether or not we find common ground on any subject. That's America JACK!

An essay written in a Google document, in which the author takes the Democratic establishment to task and explains the viewpoint of Bernie Sanders supporters, has gone unexpectedly viral.
The author, who identifies herself as Melisa Crosby, portrays the struggles of those ignored by both parties, struggling for survival and dignity. She outlines her immense frustrations not only with Clinton and Trump, but with the Democratic establishment and even parts of the Democratic constituency who bully Sanders and his supporters.
Read the full text below:
"Based on all the patronizing and dismissive posts I’ve seen recently, I’ve come to realize that there’s something that many lifelong Democrats I know just don’t seem to get about Bernie supporters. It’s actually pretty simple: many of us are drowning. We can’t find steady work. We can’t afford health care. We can’t send our kids to college and we’re suffocating from school debt. We haven’t had a vacation in years. We are lucky if we can get from one paycheck to the next. We have no savings. We are one car repair or dental emergency away from having nothing. We wake up scared every morning and we try to sleep at night.
You all are quite reasonably afraid of the nightmare that might come with a Trump presidency. We fear that, too. But the thing I’d like you to understand is that we are already living in crisis mode. We understand that while the candidates differ in significant ways, both Clinton and Trump offer unthinkable options whether cutting services, limiting our rights, and inciting hatred or promoting an increasingly pro-corporate agenda, destroying our planet, or sending our children to endless war.
Yes, we are passionate. For the first time in our lives, we have someone who wants to work for regular people and yes, we are angry because it’s becoming clear that our hard work doesn’t matter. Bernie’s proposals would make an enormous difference in the daily lives of people like us. Yet the Democratic establishment fears change so much that they would rather risk a Trump presidency by running a deeply flawed and widely disliked candidate than support an honest man who has spent his career making life better for working people. And when you try to bully or shame us into ‘falling in line”, what we hear is your comfort with the status quo, our concerns being swept aside, and our voices being silenced.
Please hear this: I’m furious right now. I’m furious that my hard work to leave my kids a brighter future is being mocked and belittled everywhere I turn. I’m furious that Obama protected Clinton from the FBI and then came out in full support of the woman who he himself declared would “say anything and do nothing.” I’m furious that the mainstream media told lies about us and that good people, people I cared about and respected, fell for their bullshit. I’m furious at Elizabeth Warren who built a career on getting big money of politics and then, when it was safe, went all in for for the Wall Street candidate. I’m furious that the mainstream media flat out lied in order to suppress the vote. I’m furious at the lies the Clinton campaign told about Sanders and the chaos and distrust they caused when infiltrating our networks. I’m furious that the media created the Trump monster. I’m furious that hundreds of thousands of folks in Arizona and New York were denied their right to vote. I’m furious that polling stations were closed at the last minute and lines are so long that elderly Puerto Ricans fainted in the hot sun. I’m furious that hundreds of thousands of provisional ballots were trashed and that Clinton declared victory before half the votes in California were even counted.
There have been been a lot of disappointments lately but very possibly the worst of all is realizing that good people don’t seem to give a damn about corruption and fraud as long as their candidate wins."

"The pessimist complains about the wind.
The optimist expects it to change.
The realist adjust the sales."
- William A Ward
We MUST work through all three of these mindsets in order to physically change any aspect of our lives.
One or two of the three is the path to nowhere.

Finally Friday
“Anybody who succeeds is helping people. The secret to success is find a need and fill it; find a hurt and heal it; find a problem and solve it.”
― Robert H. Schuller
Our purpose at birth has always been to find out what that purpose is, then live it! What we don't realize is, that once once we start living the lives were were purposed, by design, those standing in the wake of it all, are inspired to move themselves.
The pursuit of purpose forces you to search deep inside of yourself for the version of "you" that will change your world and the lives of those who's path you have crossed.

What's up with that Wednesday
What's up with that Wednesday:
“The more often we see the things around us - even the beautiful and wonderful things - the more they become invisible to us. That is why we often take for granted the beauty of this world: the flowers, the trees, the birds, the clouds - even those we love. Because we see things so often, we see them less and less.”
― Joseph B. Wirthlin
I chose today's quote because I believe that we are all responsible for today's racial climate. Just like the quote says, more than our families and friends we take for granted the people we share this planet with! We all benefit from different contributions from people of different backgrounds. Be it food, music, vacation locations, clothing, technology/innovation, whatever.... we ALL benefit from an eclectic collection of cultures, yet we as a society struggle! What up with that?
Just like a loved one, relative, or coworker, we get out of relationships, what we put in to them. Let's celebrate the variety we enjoy every day!
